monochromatic

Hey darlins! this here is my visual example for the monochromatic look i mentioned in the previous post.

Basically just pick 1 main color (it doesn't have to be neutral, it can be any color at all) and stick to that or play with varying shades of that color. For the most part you can keep this look pretty basic and simple, but i like to add interesting accessories just to give it a pop of color.

So here is part 2 of dressing up tshirts, this time by pairing them with trousers. My rule of thumb is if you want a classic look stick to neutrals, but if you want something a little more edgy definately go for color!

Here's a visual on how to dress up a tshirt with a skirt, you don't have to use a black skirt but i chose to use mostly black because it's classic and something that most people already have in their closets..To me there's nothing better than dressing up a tshirt, you can look fab and be comfortable all at once.

Here's one more style visual, this one is on dresses. the best thing about dresses in my opinion is they make you look effortlessly chic. You never want to look overdone in a dress, you still want the main focus to be on that 1 key piece. However don't be afraid to add funky shoes or cool glasses as long as it compliments the look you're going for.

Here's a visual on a few quick outfits with button down shirts..button downs are really versatile and there are a ton of ways to wear them but i like to wear mine by keeping it simple with dark wash jeans and only adding a nice bag and interesting hoop earrings

looking stylish when pressed for time or exhausted

We've all been there before, waking up late in the morning and having maybe 15minutes to get ready.
Or having to literally drag yourself out of bed in the morning because you barely got any sleep.
It's one of those days where the last thing on your mind is pulling together a stylish outfit. As a matter of fact I had one of those days today. I was running on 3hrs of sleep which for me equals full on zombie mode...I could barely function, and didn't even WANT to get dressed! But unless you live in a nudist colony getting dressed is a step you just can't skip in the mornings. So here are a few quick tips (that I assure you require little to no effort) on how you can look put together even on your worst zombie day!

KEEP IT MONOCHROMATIC- wear one color, you wont have to worry about matching your clothing. you can either wear one color head to toe or mix it up by adding shoes of a contrasting color.

JEANS & TEE ALTERNATIVE- most people reach for jeans and a tshirt when in a hurry, but sometimes it can look sloppy...I say replace your tshirt with a white button down or replace your jeans with basic blak skirt or nice trousers and all of a sudden you look much more polished.

WEAR A DRESS- I absolutely looooove dresses when im pressed for time, it really takes all the work out of getting dressed, and takes no tiime at all.. just add shoes and voila!

I hope this helps darlins, I'll be adding visual examples of these style ideas soon!
but for now, it's time for this zombie to catch some ZZzzz's
